Women Will Not Lie Down and Enjoy the Raping of Our Motherland Thru Con-Ass- Gabriela Solon

“Women will not lie down and enjoy the raping of our motherland thru the conass,” said Assistant Minority Leader and Gabriela Women’s Party Rep.Liza Maza today as she joins the nationwide protest against Con-Ass.

“It’s all systems go for the anti-ConAss protest and the people’s movement will indubitably thwart Malacañang’s devious plot. People's rejection of Charter Change not only has been consistent under President Arroyo ,it has also been consistently on the rise,” Maza said.

“Mariin itong tinututulan ng mamamayan dahil malinaw na ang intensyon nito ay ang pagpapalawig ng termino ng isang kapit-tukong pangulo sa Malacañang,” Maza said.

The lawmaker also launched today an information campaign dubbed as “Boses ng Masa laban sa Cha-cha” uploaded in Youtube and various social networking sites which features the viewpoints of ordinary people against Arroyo’s charter change. The information ad hopes to encourage different sectors to air out their opposition and indignation against Con-Ass.

The Gabriela solon further warned the Arroyo administration that this is just the beginning of series of protest against Con-Ass.

“As long as they are hell-bent on pushing for this scheme, the people will continue to denounce and stand up against it,” she concluded.
