Stop US-led Military Intervention in Libya; Bring OFWs to Safety Now

Gabriela Women’s Party condemns the US intervention and military aggression on Libya and calls on the Philippine government to denounce the US-led military action that is set to endanger the lives of several Filipino migrant workers in Libya.
 
While attacking on the pretext of protecting citizens, the US-led military attacks inevitably endangers the lives of millions and dismantle infrastructures in order to force Libya to capitulate to US dictates. The US government’s attack on Libya is a clear attempt to seize control of the oil-rich nation and a transgression of Libyan sovereignty.
 
At the onset, we join calls to end the US military intervention in Libya and demand that the Philippine government immediately evacuate and bring to safety all Filipino migrant workers in Libya. #
