Bilang kinatawan ng Gabriela Women's Party, bibigyang-pansin ng pahayag na ito ang napakabigay na hagupit ng VAT sa mga kababayan nating mahihirap. hindi lamang dahil ang mga ina ang pangunahing naaapektuhan ng patuloy na pagbagsak ng antas ng pamumuhay ng mga maralita nating kababayan, kundi dahil inilalarawan nito ang hindi makatarungang pagpataw ng isang sistema ng pagbubuwis na may negatibong epekto sa ating mga kababayang walang hanapbuhay at hindi kumikita ng sapat para mabuhay ng disente ang kanilang pamilya.  read more »
