House lawmakers, school administrators and students of Manila-based schools have vowed to fight all forms of sexual harassment in a roundtable discussion held today (Dec. 7) at the Speaker’s Social Hall, House of Representatives.
Gabriela Women’s Party Rep. Arlene Brosas said the forum provided a platform for school administrators, students and lawmakers to cooperate, particularly in raising awareness and pushing amendments to the anti-sexual harassment law.
“General Eduardo Año’s appointment as chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines is the gravest of insult that victims of human rights violations perpetrated by troops under his command. This does not bode well for the human rights situation in the country.”
This is according to Gabriela Women’s Party Representative Arlene Brosas following President Duterte’s appointment of General Eduardo Año as chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Gabriela Women’s Party challenged the new head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) to look into the dismal state of forcibly evicted families and their relocation sites as it filed a resolution seeking the same.
